Blended learning is a new, alternative format for students to access the knowledge and skills they need. Heart & Stroke blended learning courses combine online learning and in-person training to offer a comprehensive experience with lots of benefits. Blended learning is a low-barrier option that caters to various learning styles, student needs, and schedules.
The BLS Blended 120 (120 Minutes):
Designed for first time BLS learners and/or those who do not use their BLS skills on a regular basis. After successfully passing the online component (self-directed, but typically approx. 1 - 2 hours), students attend a 2-hour in-person skills practice and evaluation session.
The BLS Blended 90 (90 Minutes):
Designed for BLS learners who are confident in their BLS skills, but don’t use them routinely in their normal practice. After successfully passing the online component (self-directed, but typically approx. 1 – 2 hours), students attend a 90 minute in-person skills practice and evaluation session.
The BLS Blended 60 (60 Minutes):
Designed for experienced, highly-proficient BLS providers who regularly use BLS skills in their practice. Where available, BLS Blended 60 offers hands-on testing with very minimal practice. Restrictions on course availability and approvals apply.
